Funded Spaces For Children

Through the Holiday Activities with Food, (HAF), programme we are able to offer FREE places to children who are eligible for Free School Meals.

Holiday Activities Fund Programme 

Parents and carers may be eligible to benefit from free holiday club places for children and young people over the school holidays. This is via the government’s Holiday Activities Fund (HAF) programme during the main holidays and from Babergh and Mid Suffolk, during half-term breaks.

It enables children and young people to enjoy fun activities with friends and develop new skills.

Who is eligible, and how do I access the programme?

The local programme is targeted to those who are eligible for income-assessed free school meals, and other vulnerable children (or those with additional needs) who would benefit from accessing the programme.

The HAF spaces available during Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays will need to be booked via Eequ.org.  If you think that you are eligible, then please speak with your school.
Our Beaumont, Grace Cook and Stowupland venues will may offer minimal space during February, May and October half-term holidays also.

How do I book?

To check eligibility, you must book onto via Eequ.org first of all. Once the Council checks your eligibility and confirms your spaces, then we as a company confirm this also. Once Eequ is complete, you then need to book the same dates on our booking website here. If you haven’t already, make an account, add on your child/ren profiles, go to: Book, Choose the Gold “HAF ONLY” tile and process the booking at the correct venue.

Each child is eligible for a certain amount of spaces:
Easter = 4 days each over the whole of Easter
Summer = 16 days each over the whole of Summer
Christmas = 4 days each over the whole of Christmas

For February, May and October half-term we may be able to offer HAF at our Beaumont, Hadleigh and Grace Cook, Stowmarket venues. This is separate to the HAF scheme and the council has very limited spaces at each venue, but each child is welcome to book every day for these half terms.

Our iPAL booking system, is what our staff will use on the day to register the children in and out, for first aid/incident forms and how they will contact you directly. Be sure to update this information fully.

What food is provided? 

At Kicks and Tricks children on the HAF program will be able to choose either a hot or cold meal. Check out the Food Menu here for the upcoming Camps.
